Professional Career

I had the privilege of working as a Teacher and Reading Specialist in the Public School System for 13 years.  I found great satisfaction in helping children come alive to reading (especially when it was hard for them to do so) and the world that reading opens up.  Reading has always been a passion for me, and shortly after college, I discovered by experience how the Word of God is a living Word.  I have not ceased to read and study the Bible since that experience.

Personal Statement:

After my second son was born, I was given the blessing of staying home to care for my family.   This also allowed me more opportunity to grow in learning and teaching this way of life that has been revealed to us.  I serve as the Children’s Minister for my church, and I teach in our Women’s Ministry.  I have found even more life and satisfaction in serving my family and faith family in any way that helps us come alive to our Lord and King.
